Summer Sunday, September 28, 2008

well warm enough to be.  It was 30c here today and just beautiful.  We've just come home from 4 days of camping and water skiing out at sommerset dam.  We had a wonderful time.  Tim got up on skis for the first time without the training bar and on a single ski on the training bar.  Georgia got up on skis on the training bar.  This is huge because last time we went out she didn't like the feeling of being in the water in the middle of the dam.  She was fantastic when she fell off she would just wait in the water with her arm up.  I am so proud of both of them.

Poor Ellie ran into a stick and had a big hole in her lip.  So she couldn't go in the water for a couple of days.  But when she did she gave the tube a good workout.  That girl is not afraid of speed.  She also got out on the training bar for a little big and just hung in the water while the boat was going for a little bit.  She'll be skiing for sure by the end of summer.

These were taken today while the girls were outside cooling down.

o I come back to my blog and I see my last post and it is about how long it has been since I posted.  Wow it's like groundhog day or something.

Well quick update.  What have I been up to?? Ummmmm  nothing much.

Some exciting news though.  Back in 2006 I upgraded my SLR camera to a flash Digital SLR.  I figured it would be easier to learn as I could take photos download them and see where I was going wrong straight away and I would learn heaps and .......

Fast forward to August 2008.  Thanks to the No. 1 photographer in the world I have found myself.  I am doing a Sheye Rosemeyer Explore photography course.  And guess what I get it.  Yes after 2 years I am fully manual.  I'm not saying I am good but at least I am getting there.  This has been my dream since 2000 when I bought my first SLR.  It only took me 8 years.

So I'm starting my blog again to record my photo journey into my new life through a lens.

Here is my first good photo.  Thing is Ellie is my little prop as the others are at school and aren't around much so you are going to see heaps of her.
