o I come back to my blog and I see my last post and it is about how long it has been since I posted.  Wow it's like groundhog day or something.

Well quick update.  What have I been up to?? Ummmmm  nothing much.

Some exciting news though.  Back in 2006 I upgraded my SLR camera to a flash Digital SLR.  I figured it would be easier to learn as I could take photos download them and see where I was going wrong straight away and I would learn heaps and .......

Fast forward to August 2008.  Thanks to the No. 1 photographer in the world I have found myself.  I am doing a Sheye Rosemeyer Explore photography course.  And guess what I get it.  Yes after 2 years I am fully manual.  I'm not saying I am good but at least I am getting there.  This has been my dream since 2000 when I bought my first SLR.  It only took me 8 years.

So I'm starting my blog again to record my photo journey into my new life through a lens.

Here is my first good photo.  Thing is Ellie is my little prop as the others are at school and aren't around much so you are going to see heaps of her.

I have a DSLR now too - as many years ago I used to (and still do) have a film SLR - and I am loving the new one!!

Great to see you!

Sue, the photo is great!
I was so keen to do the course run by Sheye, but the timing just wasn't right for me
Can't wait to see your photo journey

Oh Sue ~ I just saw another pic of Ellie on facebook and it's STUNNING. I wondered if you were doing Sheye's course ~ so jeleous lol... I would loved to have done it :(

I'm like you ~ have been wanting to learn for years but am beginning to think it will never happen.

Woohoo I am so glad you have all commented. I bought an new computer and went Mac and can't be bothered working out how to get all my bookmarks. This way i can rebookmark all your blogs.

K8 do it next time seriously it is the best thing that I did. It has been so much fun and I have gained so much more experience but I am getting a bit anal about my photos :)

Scrivvy one day. But seriously unless you know how to work it I reckon you could get just as good shots out of a really good camera.

Jacq it is a big commitment to get the most out of it. I am sure Sheye will be doing more she has really enjoyed it.

V there will be time seriously. Part time courses were no good because of Mark's shiftwork and you would be the same not being able to do it some night. This is why Sheye's course has been perfect. Maybe you could ask Santa for Christmas when she does another one.
